Meet Dr. Andrea Marquez
Background
Dr. Andrea Marquez is originally from Venezuela, where she first discovered her passion for dentistry and the profound impact it can have on a person's health, confidence, and quality of life. That passion inspired her to continue her education and professional journey in the United States, where she has dedicated herself to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care while pursuing lifelong learning and clinical excellence.
Dr. Marquez earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. During her training, she received the American College of Prosthodontists Predoctoral Achievement Award in recognition of her accomplishments in the study of prosthodontics. Her passion for advancing dental technology also led her to participate in research involving Er and Er,Cr laser applications in dentistry, which was published in the National Library of Medicine.
Following dental school, Dr. Marquez completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at UTHealth School of Dentistry in Houston, where she was honored with a Digital Dentistry Award for her commitment to innovation and excellence in patient care.
Focus
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Marquez enjoys caring for patients from diverse backgrounds and believes every patient deserves to feel comfortable, informed, and understood throughout their treatment journey.
She is passionate about restorative dentistry, digital dentistry, occlusion, and continuing education that allows her to provide the highest level of care for her patients. Her commitment to growth and learning drives her to continually seek advanced training and modern techniques that enhance both the patient experience and clinical outcomes. She is currently working toward a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), reflecting her dedication to lifelong learning and clinical excellence.
Patients appreciate Dr. Marquez's calm, thoughtful approach and her dedication to clearly explaining treatment options so they can make informed decisions about their oral health. She believes trust is built through communication, education, and genuine connection.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Marquez enjoys spending time with her husband, Michael, and their daughter, Daniella. Family is at the center of everything she does, and she brings those same values of trust, compassion, and connection into her relationships with patients every day.
